Hey there, busy bees! Finding time to exercise can be tough when juggling work, family, and other commitments. But guess what? You don’t need much time to get moving and stay fit. Here are some fun and easy ways to sneak exercise into your day, no matter how packed your schedule is.
Exercise Every Hour at Work

Why not make every hour count? Set an alarm on your watch or computer to remind you to move. Here are some quick exercises you can do:
- Push-ups: Get down and give yourself 10!
- Squats: Stand up and do 15 squats.
- Lunges: Step it up with 10 lunges per leg.
- Planks: Hold a plank for 30 seconds to a minute.
Get your coworkers involved! Make it a fun office challenge and keep each other motivated. A little friendly competition never hurt anyone, right? If you’re working from home, grab a friend or two and create a group text to keep each other accountable. Set alarms to remind each other when it’s time to move. Share your progress and cheer each other on!
Deck of Cards Workout
Turn your workout into a game with a deck of cards! Assign an exercise to each type of card:
King: 10 sit-ups
Queen: 5 burpees
Jack: 5 push-ups
Number cards: Do that number of squats
Shuffle the deck and draw a card every hour or during a break. It’s a fun way to mix things up and keep your workouts interesting. Grab a friend and have fun with it!
TV Commercial Break Workouts
Watching TV? Don’t just sit there during commercials. Get up and do a quick exercise every time a commercial comes on. Here are some ideas:
- Sit-ups
- Jumping jacks
- High knees
- Mountain climbers
Or, to make it even more fun, pick a word or phrase that is frequently mentioned in your show and do an exercise every time you hear it. For example, if you are watching football, do a certain exercise every time your team scores a touchdown.
Housework Workouts

Even housework can be a chance to get moving. Pick an exercise to do every time you enter a certain room. For example:
Kitchen: 10 squats
Living room: 15 lunges
Bedroom: 10 push-ups
These little bursts of activity can really add up throughout the day.
Remember: Little Efforts Add Up
The key is to remember that every little bit helps. Small efforts throughout the day can lead to big changes over time. Plus, it’s a lot better than doing nothing at all.
So, whether you’re at work, at home, or watching TV, there are plenty of ways to fit exercise into your busy day. Get creative, have fun, and keep moving! Your body will thank you.
